No Spend update & HUGE mid-month savings!

my favorite, early morning quiet spot.
Half way through this no-spend month...  i did end up spending a tiny bit more..  mainly on that darn produce, boy we eat a LOT of it!

I made a Costco trip for produce including cauliflower, bananas and 2 kinds of cheese, then to Target for the clearance deals...  meat, mushrooms and green onions!  total spent $50.
simple pasta night, ground turkey, homemade bread, balsamic green beans

BUT I stuck to my menu plan, everything has been made from scratch...  breakfast, lunch, snack, everything!  Zero dollars have been spent on take-out, eating out or convenience food.

black bean soup, made from dried beans, topped with yogurt and lime, super duper cheap dinner!
We've had some really great meals...  Chicken Parmesan Casserole, Black Bean Soup, Steak, Burgers and lots and lots of eggs!  I even harvested a tiny bit of kale and a few more dandelion greens.

yummy steak that was gifted to us!  more green beans(Costco) and mashed cauliflower

Payday is the 1st and 15th of the month...  so now i am able to snag our saved money still in the account on the the night of the 14th and put that right into a 'fix my car fund'...  by spending as little as possible we were able to save $370!  YAY!!!  I'd guess that is about 1/3 of the way to fixing my car :) Super exciting!

Updated monthly grocery spending: $239
Updated monthly cash savings: $370
