A big purchase, and Fathers Day, children's activities and photographs, end of the school year and what else? We've all been there, a necessary spending 'high' for a couple weeks, its part of life, its part of having children. Turns out children are expensive!!! :)
Instead of relying on a credit card to give us the money we normally would have spent on groceries, gas and maybe a fun activity this week we will instead bunker down at home, enjoy our property and catch up! I will get very creative with our pantry staples, not that we have a lot, but we have enough. Staying home means wasting no expensive gasoline too! Im looking forward to it :)
lots of leftovers.... but not much real, actual 'food' to cook with.... |
I found this fantastic resource for a printable 'no waste food menu' from my new favorite blog The Thrifty Couple and I've printed it out and have gotten started!
Print yours out and get started!! Yes, you have to subscribe to their emails in order to get it- but who doesn't want thrifty tips in their in-box a couple times a week? Just do it! Its only 8 days.... how much can you save in 8 days?!?!?!
I will finish that up and share in a bit!
