my 64 calorie peach margarita

I made a fantastic chicken lime southwest inspired soup for dinner tonight(recipe to be posted by or sometime tomorrow) so of course I though a margarita was in order!

This is a recipe I play with lots, you can easily use any variation of ingredients.  The key factor in this one is the flavored stevia.  Its the bomb.  I get mine off iHerb as they deliver free and the prices are the best, no joke, been using them for many, many years.  (yes, this is my affiliate link directly to the stevia through iHerb)

My main liquid selection was a peach-nectarine sparkling water, it was certainly more peachy than anything and pretty darn tasty.  Any sparkling water would be enjoyable in this beverage of course..... lime, lemon.....  lemon-lime....  orange....

As a side note please be aware that most shot glasses are actually a 'jigger' or 1.5 ounce, this recipe calls for only 1 ounce of liquor(just 64 calories) to keep it lower in alcohol and empty calories.  Each Tablespoon is equal to .5 ounce, so just multiply how ever many you prefer.  The full jigger(shot glass) will be about 96 calories.

I also love to use canning jars for these, I purchase plastic screw-off lids for them (found in the canning supply- check Walmart!).  This makes not only storing food items handy but makes a dang convenient drink shaker!!!

1oz vodka
handful ice cubes
1 Tbs lime juice
6-8 drops lemon stevia

1/2 cup sparkling peach-nectarine Talking Rain

shake this well, then top off with your sparkling water choice!

cheers!
