day 15, 16 &17 St Paddys Day and almost out of money!

Day 15 was a special day for hubby and I.
A rare date for us, we had signed up previously to do our local Poulsbo Beer Run.  It was pouring, i mean POURING rain, 45 degrees and 4 miles of running AND beer with our small community.  It could not have been more fun!  Such a special bonding experience that we desperately needed.  A rare chance without our darling, but needy children.  As we had previously paid our admission, that was covered. My parents were available to watch the kiddos, thanks to pre-planning so technically we didn't spend money this month for this event :)

Monday, Day 16, easy to not spend...  we were super low on groceries but oatmeal was sufficient for breakfast and I had Beefless Stew in the freezer for dinner...  lunch was whatever I could throw together!  Looking for lunch options for the next day I loaded the bread maker to bake while we were sleeping.  Fresh, warm bread in the morning = YUM!

Tuesday, Day 17, I had no choice other than going to the grocery store!  We were so very low on dogfood, toilet paper and out of produce... and it was our turn to bring snack to preschool... total spent was a *painful* $90.

I did 'splurge' on some makings for an Irish dinner.  When I scheduled my menu plan I put Mexican down for St Patricks day, obviously that was an error!  This Irish girl will not be making tacos today :)

Dinner was excellent and total cost was about $5.50 :)

cabbage, kale, potatoes, garlic, onions, more cabbage and brats.  oh yum!

Total spent for these few days: $90

We are STILL in budget...  but its getting close!  Think we can make it within our $300 allotment???  We only have a measly $49 left....
