Fast Wheat Drop Biscuits with herbs


This is one of those things I usually throw together last minute- and the family usually thinks I slaved over it....  these are divine!

Don't tell them how simple they are or I will have to make them daily....




Fast Wheat Drop Biscuits with herbs

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup while flour
1 Tbs baking powder
2 tsp honey or sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 Tbs dried herbs
1 tsp garlic, dry in any form

1 cup milk
1/2 cup melted butter (yes- 1 stick)

1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Mix your dry ingredients, then incorporate your wet.  Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes on oven preheated to 450 degrees.  Makes 12 biscuits. 

I used rosemary for my herbs and sharp cheddar.  These are so good, they don't require any butter, perfect for dipping in soup too!

Don't eat them all in one sitting ;)
